LOCKqz blocks AI assistants on a student's computer while a designated Brightspace quiz is open, then restores them when the quiz ends. It is open-note: it does not block notes, files, or the rest of the web. This policy explains exactly what it stores.
What LOCKqz collects
- A random device identifier generated on install (not tied to your name or email).
- Install status and app version.
- Timestamps when a quiz locks and unlocks, and tamper flags (e.g. the block was removed).
- The student name only if a quiz page provides one, so an instructor can match the lock to a roster entry.
What LOCKqz does NOT collect
- No quiz questions, answers, or grades.
- No keystrokes, clipboard, browsing history, or the contents of any page.
- No camera, microphone, screen capture, or screenshots.
- No location, contacts, or any data from outside a locked quiz.
How it is used and stored
- Data is used only to run the lock and to show an instructor who was locked during their own quiz.
- It is stored in the project's own Cloudflare instance and is never sold or shared with third parties.
- It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to quiz integrity.
Your control
- You install LOCKqz knowingly, and you can uninstall it at any time, which stops all collection.
